
Banana Pudding
The Easy Traditional Version
- Large size package of full cook Vanilla Pudding about 6 ounce ( a box pudding is not a bad word )
- 4 egg yolks....save the whites for the meringue
- 2 teaspoons Real Vanilla ....not imitation Vanilla
- cook as per the box instructions until thick ( coats a spoon )
- layer the bottom and sides of a 2 quart pyrex dish with....Real Nilla Wafers...no subsitutes
- putting it all together......1st layer of the warm vanilla pudding....followed by layer of sliced bananas
- next layer wafers, pudding and banana to the top of the bowl ( I end with pudding )
- beat the egg whites with a pinch of cream of tarter and sugar to taste....until stiff peaks
- put the meringue on top of the bowl filled with above ....brown in a 400 oven
- enjoy.....so yummy & so Traditional....and easy.....
