Banana Pudding


Banana Pudding
The Easy Traditional Version


  1. Large size package of  full cook Vanilla Pudding about 6 ounce ( a box pudding is not a bad word )
  2. 4 egg yolks....save the whites for the meringue
  3. 2 teaspoons Real Vanilla ....not imitation Vanilla
  4. cook as per the box instructions until thick ( coats a spoon )
  5. layer the bottom and sides of a 2 quart pyrex dish with....Real Nilla Wafers...no subsitutes
  6. putting it all together......1st layer of the warm vanilla pudding....followed by layer of sliced bananas
  7. next layer wafers, pudding and banana to the top of the bowl ( I end with pudding )
  8. beat the egg whites with a pinch of cream of tarter and sugar to taste....until stiff peaks
  9. put the meringue on top of the bowl filled with above ....brown in a 400 oven
  10. enjoy.....so yummy & so Traditional....and easy.....
